Hints of oak and cherry are the highlights of this dry Merlot. While some have tasted other berries such as boysenberry, I mainly got Cherry and oak flavors. This wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry with some integrated oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a bit sticky. This is a good everyday Merlot. I see this as a sipping wine complementing a dinner of Chicken or a good beef stew. My research says this is a blend that is 95% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petite Sirah, & 1% Syrah. Al of the grapes are from California.
