A vibrant red with violet tones. Ripe red fruit enhanced by a spicy bit of black pepper in the aroma and onto the palate of this willowy medium-bodied red. Soft tannins support the palate on its way to delivering a smooth and complete finish. Harvested in March, the grapes are cold macerated prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Natural malolactic fermentation follows. The wine is aged four months in stainless steel prior to release. This wine pairs well with a variety of grilled and roasted meats (beef and BBQ Pork). Also, appetizers and small plates with cured meats like Prosciutto and firm cheeses like Gruyere.

I found this wine to be a great value. I paid less than US$13 for the bottle and I can pick up the fruits and the spices in the aroma. This red is slightly dry but not overly so. A simple good red wine.
