We all remember the song from the movie sung by dancing dishes and candle sticks……
Be our guest! Be our guest!
Put our service to the test
Tie your napkin ’round your neck, cherie
And we’ll provide the rest
Soup du jour
Hot hors d’oeuvres
Why, we only live to serve
Try the grey stuff
Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes
They can sing, they can dance
After all, Miss, this is France
And a dinner here is never second best
Go on, unfold your menu
Take a glance and then you’ll
Be our guest
Oui, our guest
Be our guest!
Aside from The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, possibly the most anticipated part of the Fantasy land expansion is the new restaurant “Be Our Guest”.
You truly feel like you are in the real Beasts castle. The West Wing room is darker and has a more eery feel to it. Complete with claw marks through the draperies and paintings, and of course the rose which actually drops pedals as time passes throughout your meal. The ballroom area has incredible chandeliers and gently falling snow outside the grand windows.
The food is elegant and tasty, and the dessert cart is to be desired. I HIGHLY recommend trying for a dinner reservation. They are hard to come by but worth it. You really have to work the Advanced Dining Reservations system to be sure you can get in at lunch or dinner.
Our family of five had dinner here on our day in the Magic Kingdom. Our meals ranged from steak to seafood and soup. Everything was tasted great and our experience with the service was pleasant and quick. The “West Wing” is cool, with the rose and the effects; however, it may be a little much if you have a tired child less than 10. One of the highlights was when Beast entered the West wing and they made the announcement that he would be receiving a guest in the “study” after dinner. All of my kids thought this was just cool and so fancy (even though we were all dressed up for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party”). You get to meet beast when you exit and take photos. Because everyone finishes at their pace it is not crowded or rushed.
