Usually when I fly out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport I am leaving from terminal 2, which is the newest. Only one airline currently has gates in terminal 1, Southwest. In terminal 1 there are three places to eat and 2 of the typical airport magazine/book and snack shops along with the shop with the overprices tech gadgets and the overpriced clothing store. This terminal has recently finished a renovation, so maybe it will attract another airline.
I chose to eat lunch at “Char-Grill” This is a name and an idea borrowed from a local Raleigh Drive-In that has been around since 1960. Of the three places to eat in terminal 1, this is the only place that really cooks food. The other just heat stuff or it come form some hidden kitchen had the cheese burger and fries with a drink, and it was pretty good. It was fresh, hot so I cannot complain about the $10.00 price.
