This Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina has a deep ruby red color. Aromas of black berries, newly ripened plums and fresh strawberries are predominant to the nose. This wine has a good balance and is not overly acidic. This is a smooth full flavored Malbec. Pair this Malbec paring well with grilled meats and pasta with red sauce.
The Bodega Norton was founded in 1895 in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. This means it enjoys the same altitude advantage of warm days and cool nights that have brought the wines produced in this region to notice.
With a $10 to $12 dollar price point, I see this a as wine for the masses, it is good, not great. I enjoyed it and will buy it again.
