I will start by saying that this may be my favorite rose’ ever. While Rose’ is not my go to style of wine, the Barbern Rose’ is clean, crisp. . The scents of rose petals and tropical flowers builds expatriation to your nose. Then the flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, cranberry and orange deliver on the promise of the aroma through a long finish. This is defiantly not you standard Rose’. Aged in neutral oak and then move to stainless steel there is a good balance of acidity in the wine. The appearance of the wine is light rose with a slightly orange tint.
This wine came to me by way of Jeff from Thedrunkencyclist.com and the “Secret Wino” exchange he set up before Thanksgiving here in the United States. I really owe him for it, as I would have never gone out and bought this for myself.
The 2014 Passaggio Barbern Rose’ from the Lodi region in the Napa Valley of California made an excellent addition to our Thanksgiving dinner. I will be on the lookout for other wine from Passaggio.
A BIG THANK YOU to Elizabeth, my Secret Wino for sending the rose’ to me.

One of my favorites as well! http://thedrunkencyclist.com/2015/06/12/friday-rave-passaggio-wines/
