Saturday night my wife says she saw a recipe on TV and is going to try it on us for dinner. This really excited me. She is a very good cook and quite creative. So using the left overs from taco night on Friday, she created this. Crescent rolls laid out in a circle and filled with the left over taco meat (chicken). Then rolled up, topper with a little sharp cheddar cheese and baked per the rolls instructions. After the rolls browned on top, they were covered with foil so they would not burn and the undersides could firm up. With a little team work to get the ring from the baking sheet to the serving plate she filled the center with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and topped it with sour cream. These “taco rolls” were delicious. It really was a great way to use out leftovers. The kids thought it was neat. With one tube of resent rolls, it was enough food for three people.
