Fresh Kicks Hazy PA is inspired by the IPA brewed in the Northeast U.S. the key is inspired by. It is not
trying to be a New England IPA. If you have been reading for a while you know I am not the biggest fan of IPAs. Lately, I have found a couple that I like and this is one of them.
Fresh Kicks Hazy IPA pours a light golden color, It is cloudy but, no floaters are present. There is decent lacing that remains as the one finger head recedes. The aroma of Fresh Kicks is sweet, tropical, and slightly dank.
I love the blend of hops. Great for summer, fresh, tastes of pear, mango, and hint of pineapple, with a slightly bitter finish. Nice job by Real Ale, as many new hazy’s lately have come up way short. I will definitely go back for more and would recommend to those who are tropical fans.
The Brewers Description of Fresh Kicks Hazy IPA
“Fresh Kicks Hazy IPA is inspired by Hazy IPAs from the Northeast – beers that are at their best when consumed hella-fresh. The grain bill includes oats and malted wheat – malts rich in proteins that lend this beer its distinctive hazy appearance and a soft mouthfeel. A blend of Azacca, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Strata hops, added at multiple times in the fermentation process, produces hop flavors and aromas that mimic the addition of ripe tropical fruits. Like that new pair of fresh kicks, this beer will have you walking on AIR.”
Real Ale Brewing Company began in 1996 and has been brewing beer in the Hill Country of texas ever since. They brew beer with as little processing as possible. In addition, their beers are unfiltered and unpasteurized. Real Ale does not use artificial colors or preservatives. They believe doing less to the beer actually creates more complexity, aroma, and flavor. One very unique thing is their beer is only available in Texas.
